Desktop icons & user accounts

My girlfriend & I share the same computer & have our own
separate user accounts. I'm trying to remove some desktop
icons from my XP user account, but when I do, it also
removes them from my girlfriends desktop. Is there some
way to remove them from my desktop but leave them on for
hers? Thank you very much.
 
Copy them from the Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop folder to
Documents and Settings\<her username>\Desktop

Then delete the originals
