Desktop Icons Disappearing-Blue Screen Only

I used the beta, it worked fine, however I think maybe
one bug took my desktop away.

I have the blue screen of death now and can only access
my PC via task manager.

Not one of the desktop icons is left. Nor do I know how
if at all to restore them.

Can anyone shed light on this problem?

Sounds like an Explorer crash, have you tried doing a cold boot?

Andre, good one, yes I did, many times.

Any other ideas besides reinstalling everything???

You don't necessarily have to do a reinstall, how about a repair install?
