desktop icon disappear

dear Sir/Madam,

I m using windows XP. Some time when I start my
computer it does not show any icon not any start menu due to which I
am unable to do any action, and i have only one choice to shut down
my
computer unproperly. Please tell me what is the cause and give me its
solution.

Double-click on the downloaded file to Merge the contents.
Restart the computer.
