Is there a way to change the gridsize for automatic placement of
desktop icons? Perhaps somewhere in the registry? I'd like to cram
more stuff on my desktop in an orderly way ;-)

Cheers!

Icon Spacing (Horizontal)
Icon Spacing (Vertical)

Hi Bram,

Try adjusting the icon spacing. There are two controls, horizontal and
vertical. Right click the desktop and select personalize. Open Windows Color
and Appearance, then click the line to "open classic appearance
properties....". Now click on Advanced, and look for the icon spacing
controls in the item dropdown. Reducing the number will squeeze the icons
closer together.
