When I start Internet Explorer, my fonts are very small.
It seems the only way I can bring them back up to a
readable size is by right click > select ENCODING > then
select USER DEFINED. This brings the fonts up to a
readable size, but when I ext out, the problem occurs
again. Any thoughts ?? This problem occurred when
Microdsoft Search Toolbar was installed. If I deselect
it, the problem still occurs. My OS is W2K Using IE
6.0.2800.11061S

If you mouse-over Text-Size in the View menu, is there a dot next to Medium
(or larger)?

I hope the fix is that simple.

The font size seems to change everytime I open Internet Explorer. I
went to Internet Options > Advanced tab and clicked Restore Defaults.
That seemed to fix it briefly. I don't understand why the encoding
changes from Western European (Windows) to Western European (ISO) and
then gives a smaller font size. When I toggle these settings from one
to the other, the font size changes. Any ideas??

My encoding is Unicode (UTF-8). Try selecting that, and make sure
Auto-Select is not checked.

Under the Advanced tab of Internet Options, check "Always send URLs as
UTF-8" if it is not checked, but it should be with Defaults.

If it is not checked, and your primary browsing language should be
US/English, click the Languages button on the General tab and make sure you
have English (United States).

I can not uncheck Auto-select. It will not work. I have tried View > Text Size and selected Largest. It works ..sometimes. Still a bit of a problem
