Rainlendar is quite nice, but it has issues with staying visible or popping
up to the front and other little quirks that come into play depending on
what other applications are doing. Does anyone know of a calendar that
sticks to the desktop like glue, for Windows XP?

As an alternative, try a calendar that's actually drawn on the desktop
wallpaper. "Desktop Calendar" is very costumizable, and in general does
the job wonderfully. The calendar can be localized by editing a simple
text file.

A true gem, IMHO.

Did you try marking Config>Layout>OnDesktop (Experimental) in Rainlander,
it can be enabled if you disable Config>General>Use native Windoes?
transparency.
