Design view locked

Hi

Please help, I am a bit of a newbie and have been locked
out of the code of an inherited access 97 database.

It has has worked fine for weeks but today the design view
is greyed out.

Any ideas of what may have caused this and do you have any
idea of how I can get into the code.

1) Was the file converted to an mde file? If so, then you can't get into
design view. You'll need the original mdb file that the mde was created
from.

2) Try opening a new database and importing the objects for the one causing
you trouble.

3) Has User Level Security been added to the database?
