Design View - Font Size

Guest

I am using a CSS to determine the font sizes within my site. However when I
view the text in FP design view it looks different to what's displayed on MS
Internet Explorer.

I need this to look identical as it can be confusing for the web editor. HELP?

Design View in FrontPage is not a fully fledged browser, and does have
issues with display, especially when using CSS.
The only way to be certain that your page is displaying correctly is
to use Preview in Browser (NOT Preview, which is also a cut down
browser), and use different browser sizes (800x600, 1024x768), and
different browsers (IE, FireFox, Opera)

Thanks for replying Ronx.

Font size looks ok in both FP preview + MS Internet Explorer. Within FP
Design it's not WYSIWYG, which makes it very difficult to work with. Is there
no way of setting FP to display the CSS font within Design?

No
Design view follows what *it* thinks are the rules, other browsers do
their own interpretation. Unfortunately, Design View is out of step
with the other browsers. But download FireFox and check the page with
that - it may show another design problem.

Actually, it's not following any rules, instead it's bug ridden in
this area. Sometimes it shows the text with the proper CSS style,
sometimes not. It's really a POS in this area.

Agree its a pile of poo - however I went into the code and told it what size
font to use there and it was happy again. - Naughty when thi sis supposed to
be a beginner-html friendly front end. Please be aware I am that "beginner"
so if the other more experienced folk come up with a better answer....,

style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family: Rockwell" (Using the split view to find
the sentence/word I wanted changing)
