Design Quert tool is making tables with an *, how do I stop it? .

There must be a setting to stop the Design Query tool from making tables with
the *. It won't run the query with that stupid *, in the table it produces.
How do I stop Access 2007 from making tables with an * ? The Query Wizard
works but not the Design Query tool. Please Help, Carl

In the query properties, third line, "Output All Fields", set it to No.

To get the query properties, right click on a free portion of the top half
portion of the query designer, it is the last item of the context menu.
