deregistration of licence

Can anyone please tell me how to de-register the licence
numbers of my products. Reason for this I had been
unfortunate to have my pc's infected by a virus thus
resulting in a rebuild of them. But am currently
experiencing difficulties in using my licences to
reinstall as it is saying that this is currently
registered in microsofts database, which is true I know
this but now nwwd to deregister these so as to re-
register the product on the rebuilt machines

You don't "de-register". First registration is always optional. Activation
is mandatory. You also do not deactivate. All you do is install xp, when the
activation part comes up at worst you will have to call ms and tell them
what you did and they will activate you. If your having probs activating
over the internet and you have a legit windows key, then call ms using the
numbers on the activation screen.
