Deploying services packs and patches

Geoffrey de Caires

Hi,

I have a 20 user network to manage for a client and am
tying to determine the most cost and time efficient way
to deploy the latest service packs and patches to the W2K
mnachines. Sys Man Server is too expensive. Any other
suggestions?

Thanks

Software Update Services works very nicely for patches once you have it set
up and running.

As for service packs , just deploy them using group policy.

i have the same problem too. And i used Group Policy and
apply computers to my created organisational unit. But
does not work. I dont know why? I assume that the user
does not require admin rights to log on right?
can anyone suggest some turn around here? any thing i need
to check back?
