DEP and canon laser printer problems

LBP-1210 doesnt work - job spools but nothing happens
pretty sure its got to do with DEP
cant find the executable in the dep dialogue area
have installed the canon [so called] vista driver
canon wont help
there are few results in google re this machine and i think it is a
canon flash in the pan release from around 4 years ago

any ideas?
can you turn dep off

can you turn dep off

Most drivers are *.SYS files which run in kernel mode. There is not separate
EXE file, for which you can diable DEP.

But if you think DEP is part fo the problem, you can disable it across the
entire system - at least, as a troubleshooting/diagnostic step. In Vista you
need to configure this by using the BCDEdit command, and rebooting the
machine. See:

You probably wouldn't want to leave DEP permanently disabled. Even if you
confirm that the Canon driver is incompatible with DEP, you might still be
stuck ... unless Canon are willing to release an updated driver.
