I'm trying to import my outlook contacts list from my desktop to my
laptop, i've exported it and copied it to a cd. When I try to import it
to my laptop, i'm denied access to the file. The message tells me I
don't have permission to the file. What can I do?

You should really post this question in an Outlook group -
that's where you will find the Outlook experts. Very briefly:
Outlook requires write-access to .pst files (which is probably
what you're dealing with). Files on a CD can obviously not
be written to. Copy it to your hard disk!

and after you copy it, be sure to turn off the "read-only" attribute
from the file's properties page.
