I just started having this problem ....when I try to open My Documents, IE,
Recycle Bin and any folders on my desktop I get an error essage stating that
the module was compiled by a trial version of Deiphi and the trial period
has expired. When I click OK all the icons disappear and the file/folder
won't open.
I am moderately computer savvy but this has me stumped. What can I do to
correct this?

Delphi is a Rapid Application Development programming environment that
uses Pascal.

Some program you installed was made with this compiler. Uninstall the
program (module) that is giving the error.

Sounds like some ad- or spyware thats linked to system

download spybot seek & destroy from http://security.kolla.de
install it, update it, and RUN it...

second maybe download AdAware from www.lavasoft.de install it, update it,
RUN
it...

third, if you want to somewhat "immunize" your system from spyware, download
spywareblaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html install it, "update" it
and RUN it

This seemed to hit midday on 11/26. So if you change the
date on your PC to anytime before this, the problem is
gone. Now you can work on fixing it. I have not had much
luck yet. It effects explorer.exe on my pc.

Borland has done some investigation and found that the culprit must be
a module CPR.DLL which apparently has been compiled by somebody
(unknown) using a trial version of Delphi and then distributing it somehow.
The trial version used has an expiration date of November 26th (so the
compilation must have taken place on or after September 27th).

The solution is to remove (uninstall) CPR if it appears in the list of
installed programs or manually remove CPR from the applicable
folder(s).

According to Borland no undesired side effects have been reported
when just removing CPR

Users may have to start their computers in safe mode for this repair.

regards Sven
