delimiters

Is it possible to change the delimiter you use when saving an excel
spreadsheet. I know you can save it as a comma delimited file or a tab
delimited file but is it possible to change this and specify another
delimiter for example = or !?

In XP and above you can override the system settings in Tools > Options
menu. Otherwise, Chip Pearson has very good macro code for this at

thanks for this - I took a look in the options menu but can't seem to
find the setting I need to override - any chance you could be a bit
more specific?

Hi again

Apologies, my mistake. My menu Tools > Options > International does not have a "list
delimiter" entry, which I thought I remembered that it did. So the code is your option
then.

This is caused by memory errors inside an elderly gentleman. I have ExcelXP for reference
on one machine, but I never use it for real work.
