Delimiters more than 1 character

When importing a text file, how can I set the delimiters
with more than 1 character?

one kludgy workaround:
- prior to importing replace theses multiple characters with one single
unique character (use wordpad or any text processing tool for this)
 
And another kludge.

Import your file into a single column. Use Excel to do the Edit|Replace, then
use data|Text to columns from there.

If you do a file|open and point to your .txt file, you can hold the shift key
while you click Open and excel will not show you the text to columns
wizard--everything will go into column A.
