I have 2 W2K servers runing as a PDC and a BDC with the DNS server set to a
root server. I want to make the DNS server a forwarding server instead of a
root. I've been told I can delete the "." zone file from the forwarding
zones and restart the server. I'm hesitant about deleting this zone becuase
it doesn't show up in the DNS folder under winnt\system32 to do a backup on.
Do I have any opitions here? Can I safely delete the "." zone and add
forwarders?

Thanks,
Jason
