Is it possible to run a command or hack the registry to
delete all local cached copies of domain GPOs?

Sometimes, it seems that some local cached copies will
simply not go away even if the GPO is unlinked in the
domain.

There is no such thing as cached GPOs. However many group policy client-side
extensions maintain per-user or per-machine state that enables them to undo
the policy when you unlink the GPO or deleted the GPO or filter it out. You
don't want to delete this per-user or per-machine state, because it will
result in most cases in policy application problems.

Some settings that you set in GPO will tatoo. I.e. will remain applied to
the user or computer even when GPO is deleted or unlinked or filtered out.
These settings are numerous in different client-side extensions. Which
particular settings are you talking about?

As usual, it was something I overlooked. My new GPOs were
still redirecting the Start Menu to the old location.

My bad. Thanks for the response.
