I saw the W2K Startup message telling me to look into the
Accessories, System, etc etc to see what programs are
starting up BUT I want to delete some of them. Can someone
tell me how. 98/XP all use msconfig. I need an equivilent.

Thanks,

I believe since W2K does not have a comparable program like
msconfig (although I'm sure there is some 3rd party
software out there), you have to manually remove startup
programs from the registry. The following key contains the
startup programs:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \Microsoft \Windows
\CurrentVersion \Run

To remove a program simply delete its entry from this key.
Hope this helps.
