Deleting Secure Files

I tried to transfer files from one computer to another by
using the Windows Back up. I backed up the from Computer
1 by hooking up the hard drive from computer 2 and
conducting a back up of the Documents and Settings to
it. I then reinstalled the hard drive back in Computer
2. I restored the files to "An Alternate Location", a
folder I created on the hard drive, and moved the
appropriate files from the folder I restored to to the
proper profile. It took several attempts before I was
successful. Part of the problem is that I did not
uncheck the box to leave the security intact when I
restored. I think that, because the original files were
password protected, and that they are now on another
computer, that the foder and files don't recognize my
administrator rights.
Anyone know how I can bypass the security and delete the
folders and files?
