How do I delete the Search Companion's History in Window's XP. When I type
in the box it brings up all past inputs under that letter.

Clear the "Search for files and folders" history in Windows XP
When you search for a file using the Search files option in Windows XP, the
history will be stored in the registry. To clear the previous search files
history from the registry, try this:

For Windows XP Search Companion:

a.. Click Start/Run and type REGEDIT
b.. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Search Assistant \ ACMru \ 5603

a.. In the right-pane, delete the search items
a.. Close Registry Editor
For Windows Classic Search, the entries are stored in the following registry
key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Explorer Bars
\ {C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1} \ FilesNamedMRU

The above is just one of a number of sites that reference your
question......see:
