Deleting Restore Folder

This morning a restore folder was created. At the time there was a virus
file on the computer (and I wasn't home to delete it from my attachments
folder). My F-Prot virus software says that this restore file is infected.
So I tried to delete it. It won't let me. Says it is in use. Do I have to
boot up in safe mode to delete it? Or how?

Go into system restore and create a manual restore point.
Then open disk cleanup / more options /system restore.
You can choose to delete all restore points except the most recent.
