Deleting Registry Keys?

Guest

In the last scanning, my Ad-Aware SE, found three bad objects, 3 registry
keys that I am afraid to delete.
Do you think it is safe to that?, or how can I remove them safely?
OS: win xp sp2
Thanks a lot.

By default Ad-Aware will backup any changes you make so if problems do occur you can undo them.

Hi Jack,

I have never had a problem letting Ad-aware delete anything.

System Restore will restore the registry. Windows will have to be able to
start into Safe Mode at least.

If windows will not start, I would suggest using Erunt before making
registry changes. Erunt can restore the registry if Windows will not start.

Thank you, I will try it.
Yes, a year ago I have deleted keys on Ad-aware, in my son-in laws comp,
and Windows wouldnt start, even on safe mode.
Ok I'll see what happens.
Thanks.

Was that version 6 of Adaware?.. a spyware named Blazefind made a change in
the Winlogon\Userinit\data.. that Adaware 6 did not correct after deleting
Blazefind, (like many other antispywares) but the actual version doesn't
have that problem.
