i would like to use disk management to delete my D: drive which is listed as
a logical drive and has most of the hard disk space. to the best of my
knowledge, I did not set it up this way. If I delete it, will my computer
just recognize drive c with all the hard disk space available? Basically, C
drive has 14 G space with 11 G used, the D: drive has approx 36 G of Free
space. Wanted to burn a dvd and kept getting error that there wasn't enough
space .... i'm assuming that the program was looking for space on the c
drive. I needed 5 G space and only 3 G was available on C. Can anyone help,
i'm a novice and just wanted to use dvd burn to copy my movies. any insight
will be appreciated. Thanks All.

tried to install software on D drive and then run it from that location but
kept getting the same error of not enough space. maybe i'm not using
correctly or there are other problems i'm not aware of.

You can delete "D" - keep in mind anything on the partition is lost. No! -
"C" does not automatically "absorb" the capacity formerly used by "D".
Consider use of a third-party such as Partiton Magic to resize "C" without
loss of data or applications.

Thanks AJR, that's what I wanted to know. A statement about what happens when
you choose delete on the logical drive should be part of the documentation in
the help screens.
