deleting Kazaa

Several Dell users have recommended eliminating Kazaa
from my system. When I attempt to remove the program I
get the following message: Error in
C:/windows/system32/cd_clint.dll" and the program will
not go away. How can I get rid of Kazaa?

Kazaa Removal Steps:

"1) http://www.phazeshift.co.uk/
dl the cd_clint.dll file and put it back in the right
directory. chances are
it got deleted when running a spyware removing program.

2) go into your regedit. go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\current
version\uninstall. The
first few folders under this will have a bunch of numbers
and letters. click
on each one of them and look in the right pane. look for
anything that
mentions kazaa. delete that folder from the left pane (the
whole folder).

3) http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/kazaabegone.zip
dl kazaa begone. run this and kazaa should be removed from
your system. then
try running spybot to make sure all the spyware is gone."

I haved removed Kazaa but I can not delete from my
registry entries by altnet which is part of Kazaa using
reg editor.I can not delete altnet entries which are
Altnet/Dashboard/ Settings. I can not access settings and
delete any other entries. Is there a way to remove
this entry from registry? thanks.

Greetings --

To deal with issues caused by any sort of "adware" and/or
"spyware,"such as Gator, Comet Cursors, Smiley Central, Xupiter,
Bonzai Buddy, or KaZaA, and their remnants, that you've deliberately
(but without understanding the consequences) installed, two products
that are quite effective (at finding and removing this type of
scumware) are Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search &
Destroy from www.safer-networking.org/. Both have free versions.
It's even possible to use SpyBot Search & Destroy to "immunize" your
system against most future intrusions. I use both and generally
perform manual scans every week or so to clean out cookies, etc.
