Deleting highlight text.

I highlight some text that I want to delete. I press the delete button and
nothing happens. I have to use the backspace button to delete the selected
text. What do I need to do so I use the delete button?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two
boxes for WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.

In Tools > Options > General, uncheck the WordPerfect options.
