Deleting Hidden Systems File

Matt

Hi,

I am trying to delete some hidden sytem files. Here is
where they are located:

C:\documents and settings\my user name\local
settings\temporary internet files

In this temporary internet files I have several hidden
files. I saw what they were when I copied this folder to
my external backup disk. There are two large files of
mine, 3.6 GB, that by accident got put in this folder
when a mistake was made putting these files as an
attachment via Outlook. Anyway, I am trying to delete
this two files because they are taking up nearly 7.8 GB
space on my hard drive. I have done everything I know to
show the hidden and system files and I still can't see
these files via my c: drive, etc. Since I can't see them
I can't delete them. I know they are there because when
I check the properties of the folder "temporary internet
files" it says how many files and folders are there plus
the size of the folder, which is over 7.8 GB. This
folder has several hidden folders and files. Two of the
files being the 3.6 GB ones that I want to delete. I
have tried system disk clean up, etc, and nothing clears
these files. That is why I am trying to do it manually.
I even tried to delete the folder "temporary internet
files" but it won't let me because it is some windows
system folder. So any ideas how to get to these files
and delete them? I would be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks!!

Matt

Hi Matt,

TIF are in use for the currently logged in user and thus cannot be deleted.
If you log in as "user2" you can delete the TIF folder of "user1" without
problem.
