Deleting files

I have been deleting some files and they seem to keep
reproducing themselves as copies... (I now have about 600
copies of files I don't need!!)

I've run a virus scan and I don't seem to have a virus...
does anyone have any suggestions??

A reason this may be happening is you're using the Norton Protected
Recycle Bin. If you are, right click the bin icon and turn off the
protection.
