Deleting Files in Win Xp Professional

Certain directories have become readonly and and the READ-ONLY attribute
cannot be removed. And the files & directories in the directory cannot be
moved/deleted/renamed. But it allows me to add new content. The directory
contains music files (mp3). An acces denied error when i try to
move/delete/rename. The file system type is NTFS. I have Win Xp installed on
the D: drive and Windows 2003 on the C: drive. I encounter this problem when
i access the directories in the C:\ drive via XP and Windows 2003.

But I'm able to create sub directories & add / rename / move files within
these directories.

Please review the security setting on the directories. the "read-only"
setting you refer to has nothing to do with the issue you are having and
nothing to do with the folder attributes.
