Deleting document list in Word

Hi

can anyone tell me how to delete the record of recent word documents from
the 'New Document' window that comes on when I open Word. It lists the last
4 or 5 documents that I have been working on and I want to delete the record
of these documents. How?

Show or hide the list of recently used documents on the File menu

MS Word | Tools | Options | General tab |
Select or clear the Recently used file list check box.

When the Recently used file list check box is selected, you can specify the
number of recently used files that appear on the File menu.

[[Displays the names of the most recently used documents on the File menu.
To change the number of documents listed on the File menu, enter a number
from 1 to 9 in the Entries box.]]

Data key.

This key contains binary information for most recently used lists, including
the most recently used file list and the most recently used address book
list. This key also contains "Track Changes" settings and "Edit" settings.

Word 2007
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

Word 2003
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data

Word 2002
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Data

Word 2000
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\Data

The Settings Value Name stores the Recently used document list. Delete
Settings to delete the list.
