Deleting Databases

Could someone please tell me how to delete an entire DB. I have some old and
new DB's that I wish to remove from Access 2007 but when I delete them the
file name still appears in the directory when I open Access 2007. I would
like these entries to disappear from the directory after they are deleted.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Use Windows Explorer to select and delete the .mdb or .accdb file from the
disk.

That list is just informative - it doesn't mean that the database is there.
I'm not sure where the option is in 2007 (probably behind the Office button)
but in earlier version you can change the number of databases in Tools...
Options... General... Recently Used File List from the default (4, usually) to
0; close and open the database; and set it back to 4. It will clear the list
and then start accumulating the databases that you do open.

For Access 2007, select and press the windows globe, top left of the
database, select access options, at the bottom of the pop up menu. Select
Advanced from the next popup (In the list on the left of the menu).

Select from the list in this menu "show the number of recent record", as on
the previous post, set this to 1. Close and re-open the database, repeat the
above but setting the Recent records back to 9, you should have a new list of
databases with only one present at this moment. As John's statement, this
does not mean the databases are present, its just a historic record of what
you have opened recently.

Hope this helps?

Omg..I've been googling and searching for a whole week for this answer and
couldn't move on until I fixed it. Thank you so much!
