I am working on a machine that has only had XP home on it. Here's my
problem. It's been driving me and 2 people crazy for 2 hours--
(including a friend who is a Certified Microsoft Tech).
- Some time ago, there was an option to customize the backgound of "My
Documents" folder. So I did. I added a nice tropical background.
- While doing some extensive backup and cleanup today, I realized
reading the file names was difficult and that this feature was
something I could do without.
- I have tried everything to get rid of that folder background and
absolutely nothing works, the customize folder option has disappeared
forever. I can't even customize a new folder if I wanted to.
- NOTE: I can right click on the icon for the folder in explorer and
"change" the image--but that is NOT what I want to do. I want to
REMOVE the image from the folder. I want file names against that nice
blank background.
- Is this possible? If so how? I've spent an hour reading posts
here, but none of them seem to solve the problem.
Any help is appreciated.
