I want to apologize for posting this question again, but
nobody has been able to tell me "how exactly" to delete a
certain folder from my computer (including the link
several people have sent me to).
I am attempting to delete the History folder and index.dat
(XP). I have already viewed and read (repeatedly scowered
is more like) http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm.
These are the directions that link offers to delete that
folder.
"Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username>
folder.
(or log on as another user that has Administrator
privileges) and reboot.
Example: "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\HISTORY"
That's it.
This tells me nothing about "how" to delete the file in
question. As for logging in as an Administrator, I log
into an account with Administrator privileges every time I
boot up my computer up (because I am the one and only user
of this computer with Administrator privileges).
Please, can somebody help me with this? And by help, I
would very much appreciate a "walkthrough" like I'm a 6
year old.
Thank you.
