Deleting Cached Passport ID's in IE

Sorry if I'm in the wrong groups, but there are so many out there. Also,
I did try Googling the answer to this question.

I once signed up for a Passport account in order to try MSN Messenger.
Didn't like and and so didn't use the account. But, my passport id
([email protected]) still appears to be cached somewhere in IE. Whenever
I hit an HTTP password protected site and get the authentication
popup from IE, the hotmail username is still in the drop down list,
which annoys me to no end. I've tried everything I can think of,
including running various "erase everything" programs and grepping through
the Registry to no avail. I'm on XP Professional and IE6. This isn't
a big deal from an impact on my life standpoint, but is just one of those
little things that is annoying the crap out of me. Any idea how to get
rid of this?

Thanks for the help.

Hi

Try this:

From Start>Run type or copy/paste:

control userpasswords2

Click on the Advanced tab and then 'Manage Passwords'. If there is an
Account on the next screen named 'Passport.Net\*(Passport)' - remove it.
