Deleting automatically

I must have turned on something that has started "helping" me when I am
correcting text. As I try to type in my correction, the text turns red and
underlined and there is a box pointing to it that shows up with the words
"Deleting...."... it is just downright annoying and I'd like to do my own
corrections including deleting words or letters I don't want!! I have looked
around in the Autocorrect window but there doesn't seem to be anything there
that I turn off that gets rid of this helper!! Thanx!

This sounds like you're tracking changes with balloons turned on. Try
turning off the change tracking and accepting all changes.

If you want to track your changes, but just don't like the way it's
displaying, change the display options and set balloons to "Never." (In Word
2003, you set those options under Tools - Options - Track Changes. I don't
know where it is in 2007.)
