Deleting "All Items" Under Activities Tab in Outlook XP

Two questions

1. I'm using Outlook XP and recently imported my contacts from ACT! 6.0. For my (Richard Owen) contact record in Outlook, when I click the "Activities" tab and then "All Items" it pulls up about four years of links to calendar, journal, contacts and notes. The "all items" choice is the only one that brings up any history. When I click on "e-mail", "journal", "upcoming tasks", etc., they are all empy. Mine is the only contact that has any history or links when I click on the "all items" listing

I want to delete all of my history and links and start clean - how do I do so? I did not transfer any history (that I know of) from ACT! 6.0

Here is what I have tried so far

- I tried to delete my contact record and then enter my information as a new record. The "all items" listing was empty until I entered my e-mail address, then it seemed to link to something up the four years of history again

- I uninstalled and reinstalled Office XP and still had the same problem

I also have a second problem. When I click on my address book and pull up contacts for addressing an e-mail, it pulls up a duplicates for every record. When I go into address book properties, under "e-mail type" one of the duplicates is listed as "SMTP" and the other is "FAX". How do I get rid of the "FAX" listing

1) On the Properties dialog for the contacts folder, you can check what
folders each activity group is set to scan.

Empty all your email folders if you don't want to see any email messages
listed. Of course, you won't see them in the folders any more either.

2) Outlook considers fax numbers to be valid electronic addresses, since
there are many client- and server-based components that can use such
addresses.

One method to hide fax numbers from the address book is to prefix the fax
number with one or more letters (maybe B for business fax, H for home, O for
other). If the fax number begins with a letter, Outlook won't show it in the
address book. This definitely works in Outlook 2000 and 2002.

There are a couple of utilities that can help you hide fax numbers from the
address book. See http://www.rsoutlook.com/us/rshifa.htm and
http://www.sperrysoftware.com/Outlook_Solutions.htm (Hide Fax Numbers).

Another way to avoid avoid having fax numbers appear in the address book is
simply not to enter data in the fax fields. Put fax numbers in some other
(non-phone) fields.

Microsoft has a Knowledgebase article at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=305361 that explains further. Note that
this is behavior is normal for Outlook 97 and for Outlook 98 and 2000 in
Corporate/Workgroup mode. It's a big change, though for users upgrading from
Outlook 98 and 2000 in Internet Mail ONly mode.
