Deleting All Comments From Multiple Reviewers

J

John Smith

I'm using Word 2002. I have a document that has been changed dozens of times
by three reviewers, of which I am one, and I wish to delete all the comments
and tracking information now that editing is finished so that I can send the
document out of house.

With Markup turned on, using the Show>Reviewers menu I can select each
reviewer's comments but either Delete all comments is grayed out or I cannot
get it to work on any reviewer's but my own comments.

Solving this problem, anything else I have to worry about cleaning up before
I send this document out?

Thanks a million.

A more careful search of what is available in the newsgroup reveals that
this question has been asked and answered. Thanks very much to MVP Susan

On the Security tab of Tools | Options, check the box for "Warn before
printing, saving, or sending a file that containts tracked changes or
comments" and possibly also "Remove personal information from this file on
save." If you have accepted or rejected all the changes (after turning Track
Changes off) and removed all comments, they won't be left in the document.
Turning Track Changes off is not enough; you have to actually accept/reject
the changes.
