deleting a search history.

ok, i didnt know where else to post this, so sorry if im
messing up this forum thingy but im hoping someone can
help me...
when i go on a site...say 'google.com' its saved my
previous searches so when i begin to type in a new
search, i have the option of selecting a previous search
title. i dont know how to get rid of my previous searches!
please can someone help me?!
