Pages which I have deleted still appear under search results after
publishing. How do I completed remove deleted pages?

If you delete from you PC you should get a message when you publish telling
you there are pages on the web that are not on your PC and do you want to
delete them. Choose yes.

The other option is to go into your site via windows explorer and delete
them as you would any file.
