Deleted exe file association key, help!

deleted a key by mistake in Regedit, whilst looking for remnants of an
uninstalled prog and now no .exe files at all will open and there is no icons
for any exe file. It is saying that "This file does not have a program
associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the
Folder Options control panel." I then try to do as it says in Folder Options
and no dice!

The key I deleted is: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*". How do I manage to get this key back into the registry, so
that I can open exe files again?

Please help, I am totally stuck.

Thanks a million TaurArian, that has totally done the trick! I can open them
now. But the icons still aren't there? How do I reassociate the icons for
each individual prog?
