Delete programs question

JHI

I recently re-partitioned my hard drive. I moved a number of programs from
one "drive" (c) to another (g). I am now trying to delete those programs
from (c) to create more space on (c) and I'm having a problem. For example,
when I try to delete Adobe I get a message telling me that it can not be
deleted. It happens with other programs as well. If I try to delete through
control panel it will delete the program for the computer.

Please advise. Win xp
Thanks.

Your post is a bit confusing. You say you moved (how?) programs from C:
to G: and now are trying to delete them from C: - but if you "moved"
them to G: they shouldn't be on C: anymore so no need to delete. You
also say when you try to delete a program it says it can't be deleted,
but you then say it can be deleted via control panel (I am assuming you
mean Add / Remove Programs). So what is it? They can or can't be
deleted? What exactly is the issue here? Or maybe I'm just having a
bad hair day understanding this?

My experience was that as along as you have only one copy of of XP on the
c drive you can install it to whatever drive you want. I did a fresh install
of each program. Dunno if drag and drop would work. But becuase of the file
structure (where you have xp installed) thats where itss show up i.e. the
add/remove area hope that helps you gl
