Delete Partition

Problem: I would like to delete my D: partition and
regain it back to my C: drive.

System configuration: Intel P III, Win XP Home (upgraded
from Win98SE).

Drives: I have 2 Physical drives, C: which was formatted
on Win98SE into C: (20 MB) and D: (10 MB) and both are
FAT32. The other drive which is E: (80 MB) was added
after the XP upgrade and is formatted as NTFS.

Question: I already deleted the logical drive D: which
now doesn't appear when I open "My Computer". If I go
and do a "Delete Partition" using Win XP Disk Management,
will that affect any data on the C: drive?

Or can I just delete the D: partition and that will
increase my C: drive size with the new space from the D:
logical drive?

Thank you

Hello, if you want one single drive you must either delete both partitions
the format again to create one partition or i think Partition Magic can
achieve this task but i would just go the delete then create route myself
unless you have data you don't wanna lose. Then you could always backup.

After already deleting the partition, its kinda late to ask the question.
However you did fine,you might run:CHKDSK C: /F
In cmd

Yes, I deleted the logical drive but not the partition.
Meaning that right now I have C: as it is 20MB, but D:
doesn't appear any more anywhere, except when I go to
Disk Management on Win XP.

Now, I want to increase C: size to include that old D:
without losing or deleting any data or files currently on
C:

Is that possible? and how to do it?

Thank you all
