Delete Part of Cell?

Thanks Tom, I've tried your sugestions and the text remains. I'm gettin
no errors or debugs but the N and Y are remaining...

I wrote part of my download out by hand into a new spreadsheet an
tried again using the code. This was to make sure the problem wasn'
being caused by $tring errors.

I get the same issues, the Y and N remain, and no debugs...

Any more ideas
