Delete original files of search results

All I want is this. I have a folder (D:\project\rsa with subfolders)
containing some .cpp files. Under XP, I can search '*.cpp' in explorer and
delete the results. In this way all .cpp files in the folder (D:\project\rsa)
are deleted. Under Vista however, it seems that Vista makes a copy of the
..cpp files into a search folder. Delete the .cpp files in the search folder
does not delete the original files in D:\project\rsa. How can I remove the
search results (.cpp files) in the original folder(D:\project\rsa)?

Hmm, doing this should delete the original files - I just tried searching
for *.cpp files on my machine, selecting one or multiple files and then
hitting delete and they got deleted. The files were gone immediately but it
took a little for the indexer to catch up so they still appeared in searches
for a a few seconds.

Is that not the behavior you are seeing?
