Hi John,

Description of the Disk Cleanup Tool in Windows XP:
http://www.support.microsoft.com/kb/310312/

To remove all restore points except the most recent restore point, follow
these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click My Computer.
2. Right-click the disk in which you want to free up space, and then click
Properties.
3. Click the General tab, and then click Disk Cleanup.
4. Click the More Options tab, and then under System Restore, click Clean
up.
5. Click Yes to remove all but the most recent restore point.
6. Click OK, click Yes to proceed with this action, and then click OK.

Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools ->
Disk Cleanup.
Note: You can also go to Start -> Run and enter cleanmgr.exe in
the Open box and click OK.
Select your C drive.
When "Disk Cleanup of C:" comes up, click on the More Options
page.
In the System Restore section, click on the "Clean Up" button.
You'll be asked if you want to delete all but the most recent
restore points.
Click Yes.
Click OK.

While this approach will restore your hard drive space it will
soon be filled back up as new restore points are created.

Keep in mind that if you really want to save disk space you're
better off reducing the amount of space allocated to System
Restore. You can do this through Control Panel -> System ->
System Restore. Click on your C drive and hit the Settings
button. Move the slider to the left. The default is 12% but you
can should be fine if you set it to no more than 1 GB.

John;
Follow the advice Ramesh gave to eliminate the Restore Points.
But that is not a good way to save space.
You have not changed the space allocated to System Restore so that pre-set
space allocation will soon fill again.
If you want to reduce the space used by System Restore:
Open System Restore.
Click "System Restore Settings" on the right side.
Adjust slider as desired.
