delete message from server

I'm using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.
I have set my E-mail options to leave a copy of my messages on my E-mail
server.
I would like to be able to select a message (or set of messages) and have
those messages deleted form the server. Is there a way to do this? I know
that with a previous E-mail client I was able to right click on a message and
choose an option to "delete from server" (or maybe it was a menu option), but
I can't find any way to get such an option in Outlook.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Dear cook517,

I think in OL 2003 you need to delete the items locally in your inbox,
then connect to your ISP and OL will issue delete commands for the
ones you deleted selected. If you want to keep a copy then copy them
to a safe folder before re-connecting!

You may have more fun with one of my programs designed specifically to
preview your inbox at the ISP. Plus it cool things like auto spam
deletion & running programs when a "special" email arrives.

Hope that helps.
