I want to delete the automatic line generated at the top of the footnote
page. I have Word 2007 and the method I used in the previous version appears
to no longer be available (Normal view, view footnotes, select and delete
line). Does anyone know the new method for removing the line?

Hi Nikky

Assuming you have one or more footnotes or end notes in the document, on the
View tab, choose Draft view (this is the view formerly known as Normal view;
what was Draft view has now gone). On the References tab, click Show Notes.
You'll now be in familiar territory.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! I didn't receive the automatic email I thought I would when you
responded and just came back across it, so sorry for the delay.
