Susan

I have removed in pieces the McAfee Internet Security 6.0
and have almost pulled all my hair out! I have finally
gotten down to the remnants of the McAfee Privacy--3 dlls
left in the McAfee folder under Program Files. I cannot
delete these dlls because of "Access is denied" message. I
receive an error message that the disk may be full or
write protected.

Please tell me how to remove these dlls.

Thanks,
Susan

Hi David,

Thanks for that post.

Simple, usable advice that works like an absolute dream.

I am back up and running and may just keep some of my hair!

Regards,

Massive

Remember it only works for program files, not all open files. Program files that are running become a mini pagefile. You can rename them on disk and window notices. However it won't work for files an application holds open. They can't be renamed.
