I am very new to access and have been playing with data bases and now would

Why? The only time anyone would see those is when launching Access from
your PC, and you know which ones have been deleted...

There's a KB article at Microsoft.com that covers how to remove the Recent
.... list from earlier versions of Access (you don't mention which version
you are using) -- KB95569.

Good Luck

Hi,
The only way I know to remove then from the list, is to open enough other
databases so that the most recent ones appear on the recent files list and
the older ones drop off the list.

The "recent list" is just the names of databases - there aren't actually any
databases there, so in a sense there is nothing to delete.

What you can do if you don't want to see them any more is to click Tools...
Options on the menu; click the General tab; uncheck the "Recently Used File
List" checkbox. Close and open Access and (if you want to start accumulating
recently used databases agan) recheck the checkbox.

Oh, that's way too easy, John.

Can't you come up with a more convoluted solution?<G?!>
