Delete Block

I am unable to delete except by deleting each letter. I am getting a
message: "Delete Block Y/N". How do I enable the deleting capability and
get rid of the protection?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two
boxes for WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.

This took care of my problem. Thank you. I don't know how these "things"
get checked.

Probably by poorly designed Add-Ins or macros. When someone records a macro
to change a setting, the macro records all the settings in the dialog box,
not just those that the person recording the macro intended to change. This
recorded code winds up in commercial software all too often.
